Hiring heroes
Wednesday, Nov. 7
UM is looking for qualified U.S. Veterans to join the ’Canes family. Interested candidates can attend the career fair at the Watsco Center. Pro tip: bring three copies of your resume for onsite interviews. Learn more at https://www.hr.miami.edu/careers/job-fairs/index.html

Holiday season is here
Check schedule for dates
With Halloween behind us, the holiday season is in full force and that means special closures or updated hours of operation for many spots off and on campus. Check UM’s 2018 holiday schedule to know which days will be observed at each campus and call ahead before planning a visit to specific locations such as the Lowe Art Museum or UM dining facilities.

Scooter policy
Effective now
Have you seen scooters around town, maybe even on campus? While mobility share services, such as scooters and bikes are available through the City of Coral Gables, members of the UM community are required to follow all traffic rules when operating personal transportation devices on campus. While the E-Scooter Parking Policy can be found here, we’re reminding all riders that scooters must be parked adjacent to bike racks. If you see a scooter parked anywhere else, please contact UMPD with the location.

Celebrate safely
24/7
The holidays are best spent when everyone is safe and happy. Make sure you know the holiday fire safety dos and don’ts when it comes to celebrating in offices, residential buildings, and other campus locations. Check out these pro tips from the Office of Environmental Health and Safety. For more information, please contact Christine Daley at (305) 243-8443 or email c.daley@miami.edu.
