With the launch of Life@TheU—UM's employee news site—just a few short months ago and publication of more than 90 issues of the daily News@TheU email to date, we’re asking you, our readers, what kind of content you want to see more (or less) of in 2019. Which Life@TheU stories caught your eye and made you stop to read? What’s missing or what didn’t work so well? Shoot us an email at lifeattheu@miami.edu with your comments and suggestions. We want to hear from you.

Thinking of buying your first home?
Monday, Jan. 14–Thursday, Jan. 17
Buying your first home can be both an exciting and intimidating process. Take advantage of an upcoming lunchtime seminar to acquaint yourself with the essentials, including how to qualify and shop for a mortgage, and find valuable tools and resources that will help you figure out your next steps. UM employees can register to attend a session, which is facilitated by a Faculty Staff Assistance Program (FSAP) consultant. Employees enrolled in UM’s Well ’Canes program can earn Pure Wellness points by attending this session. Learn more about FSAP by reading the latest newsletter.

With your help, it may not be a far-fetched idea. As shared by President Julio Frenk, the All of Us campaign will create a diverse medical database that builds upon our expertise in genetics health care. To do this, the research program is looking to recruit more than one million volunteers to participate in the study. Find out how you can be part of the All of Us journey.
