March Madness watch party
Monday, March 18 at 6 p.m.
Find out where the ’Canes will be headed for March Madness and celebrate alongside the players, coaches, spirit squads, Band of the Hour, and Sebastian the Ibis. The women's basketball team will host a watch party, which is free and open to the public, at the Rathskeller on the Coral Gables campus. U Facilitators info sessions

Starting this week, the U Facilitator program, which is open to full-time UM staff and faculty who have been at the U for at least a year and a half, will be hosting information sessions and offering anyone interested in the opportunity a chance to learn more. If this sounds like something you or someone you know would be great at, register now to reserve a seat at an information session. Bark in the park
Saturday, March 23 at 7 p.m.
Bring your furry friend along for an evening at Mark Light Field to watch the Hurricanes baseball team take on NC State on Saturday, March 23. If you can’t make it this weekend there will be a second game this season welcoming canine pals on Saturday, May 4. Purchase your tickets now to the fourth annual Bark in the Park events at UM for $12, which includes one general admission ticket, entry for one canine, and participation in the pregame parade on the field. A donation of $4 will be made to the Humane Society of Greater Miami with each ticket purchase. For questions call 1-800-GO-CANES.

Learn to live debt-free

Are you looking to take control of your finances this year? Mark your calendar for a lunchtime seminar presented by Alba Jofre, senior credit and housing counselor for Consolidated Credit Solutions, Inc. She’ll share proven techniques to conquer debt and achieve your financial goals. You’ll learn the difference between debt snowball and debt avalanche along with debt relief options and information on your legal rights. UM employees can register to attend the session, which is facilitated by a Faculty Staff Assistance Program (FSAP) consultant. Emergency training sessions at UHealth
Multiple dates
Starting this month, UHealth employees can register to attend active shooter response training and emergency preparedness training sessions. Register to attend an interactive session that incorporates the latest Department of Homeland Security guidance and best practices for individual response to active shooter situations as well as the foundational training that provides key emergency response information for the most common hazards we face at the University of Miami and in healthcare facilities.
