Commencement
Beginning Thursday, May 9 through Saturday, May 11, commencement ceremonies will be held at the Watsco Center. Event attendees will park in the yellow lots, Merrick Garage, and Pavia Garage. We anticipate elevated traffic levels. Review the Commencement schedule and lot closures listed below before coming to campus.
Commencement schedule:
- Thursday, May 9: 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. (noon) ceremony; 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. ceremony
- Friday, May 10: 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. ceremony; 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. ceremony; 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. ceremony
- Saturday, May 11: 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. (noon) ceremony; 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. ceremony
Note: Elevated traffic levels are expected up to two hours before and after each ceremony.
Yellow lot closures: From 6 a.m. May 9 through 1 p.m. May 11
- Full closure: Lots 425S, 431, 434N, 443, 444 and H-100
- Partial closure: Lot 425N
Summer session updates
Parking color zone restrictions have been lifted for the summer with the exception of the purple zone. “Nights and weekend” permits are still valid only after 4 p.m. on weekdays and any time on the weekends. A valid parking permit is still required to park on campus. Visit the limited campus shuttle schedule before heading out.
Closures
The Mahoney/Pearson garage will be closed beginning at 7 a.m. on Monday, May 13 and will reopen at 7 a.m. on Monday, August 5. During this time there will be no access to the garage.
The Merrick garage will close beginning Monday, May 13 and reopen at 7 a.m. on Monday, August 12. Access to the Merrick garage will still be available throughout the summer via the Pavia garage.
