Learn to cope with fear, depression, or anxiety that are often experienced during a crisis like the COVID-19 pandemic and can take a toll—especially on health care professionals and frontline workers. Register to attend a seminar this week, which includes relaxation therapy and healthy sleep habits. Employees enrolled in UM’s Well ’Canes Incentives program can earn points by attending a webinar. Offered by the University's Faculty and Staff Assistance Program, employees can also find resources for health care workers and faculty and staff members working remotely, including recommendations for meditation and stress-relief apps and at-home fitness routines. Sign up to attend a webinar on Tuesday, May 5, at 12 p.m. to learn strategies and tips for prioritizing and funding your specific savings goals, like buying a new home or car and saving for a child's college. Complete the COVID-19 telecommute agreement.

As shared by Human Resources, the University’s temporary work-at-home arrangements will continue until further notice, and a phased return to campus will occur when it’s deemed safe to resume operations. Employees should login to Workday and complete the COVID-19 Telecommute Arrangement for each week that is worked from home. Serving 2020–2021
During the Faculty Senate’s end-of-academic-year meeting on Wednesday, April 29, the  members unanimously voted to extend the service of its current officers through the next academic year. The team includes: Linda Neider, chair, Herbert Business School; JoNel Newman, first vice chair, School of Law; and Helen Bramlett, second vice chair, Miller School of Medicine.
