Connect and create with the Lowe.
Wednesday, Dec. 9, at 6 p.m.
Offered by the Lowe Art Museum and Human Resource's Workplace Equity and Inclusion team, the Connect and Create program uses art as a medium for communication and to encourage diversity of thought and perspective. During the one-hour interactive session, participants are guided through a series of curated works of art and discussion. The sessions are open to all University faculty and staff members. Space is limited and participants must register in advance to attend. Get your flu shot now! 
Compliance deadline is Friday, Dec. 11.
As part of the University of Miami’s COVID-19 response, students, faculty, staff, and supporting team members on all campuses are required to receive the seasonal flu vaccine. The shots are currently available for students, faculty, and staff by appointment at multiple locations on and off campus. Visit coronavirus.miami.edu/flushot for details on compliance deadlines, to find out where and when you can schedule your appointment, and to get answers to frequently asked questions.

University students, faculty, and staff members on the Coral Gables and Marine campuses should note that ’Cane Card access to all buildings—including student housing—will continue during a scheduled software upgrade to the campuses access control applications. If you experience issues with access to campus facilities during this time, contact the Facilities Work Control team on the Coral Gables Campus at 305-284-8282 and on the Marine Campus at 305-421-4815. Contact the UMIT Service Desk at 305-284-6565 or help@miami.edu if you have technical issues, questions, or concerns. Learn to manage holiday stress. 
Tuesday, Dec. 15, at noon and 6 p.m.
While the COVID-19 pandemic has brought new challenges to celebrating, there are ways to work creatively to capture and honor the true spirit of the season and enjoy this time. Register to attend a session at noon or 6 p.m. aimed at helping participants bring awareness to the types of stressors experienced during the holidays, and explore mindsets for relieving stress this year. Employees enrolled in UM’s Well ’Canes Incentives program can earn points by attending this session. Tradition meets technology in the first, all-digital Festival of Art, which features juried works by professional artists from across the country. This year's show will allow virtual attendees to browse artists' booths, add to their personal art collection, and experience the fun of expanding artistic horizons from the comfort and safety of their own home.
