Tune in for a discussion on how diet impacts your digestive system and can affect your physical health and mental well-being. Presented by the UHealth Fitness and Wellness Center, join Maddison Saalinger, a dietician at the Diabetes Research Institute, as she explains the link between gut bacteria and health. Learn about fiber’s role  in your digestion and get tips for increasing bulk in your diet. Employees enrolled in UM’s Well ’Canes program can earn points by attending this session. University-wide update to SecureCanes wireless and wired networks. 
Starting Friday, May 28, at 8 p.m.
This weekend, the University of Miami Information Technology department will be updating the SecureCanes wireless and UM wired networks on all three campuses. Following the update, you may receive a prompt on your device(s) to connect or cancel the new certificate when you connect to the SecureCanes wireless and/or the UM wired network. University launches Conga, a new contract lifecycle management system. 
Tuesday, June 1.
The University has implemented a new tool for managing contract requests for four of its central contracting units, including Contract Administration (Business Services), Office of the General Counsel, Purchasing (Academy), and UHealth Supply Chain Services. As announced by Brandon Gilliland, vice president and chief financial officer, the new system will streamline and modernize the University’s contracting processes; enable it to deliver efficiencies in the drafting, review, negotiation, and execution of contracts; and serve as a centralized, global contract repository with efficient reporting and tracking capabilities. Explore tuition remission benefits for University employees. 
Wednesday, June 2, at 12 p.m.
Complete your undergraduate degree through the Bachelor of General Studies program, which allows students to customize their area of study through an interdisciplinary format and flexible course offerings. University employees can register to attend an online information session hosted by the Division for Continuing and International Education. Attendees will be able to learn about tuition remission and ask questions at the end of the presentation. Call 305-284-4000 to speak to an advisor.
