Incorporate movement and dance into your day.

Achieve emotional, cognitive, physical, and social integration with dance and movement therapy. Rhythmic group activities in dance and movement therapy not only help develop connection, communication, and community with others, but they also help reduce stress, manage moods, and prevent disease. Register to attend a seminar at noon or 6 p.m., which will be facilitated by Carol Kaminsky, a board-certified, dance-movement therapist and faculty member in the University’s dance program. Thursday, June 24, at 2 p.m.
Life as we know it changed with the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. With the overall rate of new infections starting to decrease, join a discussion with Dr. Olveen Carrasquillo, chief of the Division of General Internal Medicine. Hosted by the UHealth Fitness and Wellness Center and the All of Us research team, the informal conversation will include suggestions about possible next steps and ways to continue keeping yourself healthy. Celebrate Caribbean American Heritage Month. 
Friday, June 25, at 12 p.m.
University faculty and staff members are invited to attend a virtual conversation with guest speaker Marlon Hill, an experienced corporate, intellectual property, and government transactions lawyer. Hosted by Ubuntu, a University Employee Resource Group, Hill will be sharing how Caribbean Americans contributed to the history of South Florida. Explore a leadership opportunity for high school students. 
Friday, June 25, at 1:30 p.m.
Do you know a high school student with leadership potential? The University of Miami Sports Medicine Institute invites high school juniors and seniors to participate in the 12th Annual Student Leadership Day with a free webinar that aims to empower students and enhance their leadership skills. Participants are eligible to receive community service hours and a certificate of completion. Additionally, the first 200 students to log in on June 25 will be eligible to receive a Sports Medicine Institute swag bag. Get more information and register to attend.

Access COVID-19 vaccines on the Medical Campus. 
Now available.
All faculty and staff members and students may receive free COVID-19 vaccinations at the Walgreens in UHealth Tower, which is located on the second floor off the main lobby. The vaccine will be provided by appointment only on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. More information is available on UMed Insider.
