As finalists in the first responder category, the team is in the running to win a customized Land Rover Defender to support their emergency response capabilities, and they need the help of the University community to bring home the prize. Discover ancient techniques that use breathing to reduce stress and anxiety, while increasing energy and mental clarity. Offered by the Miller School of Medicine’s Osher Center for Integrative Medicine, the four-week program kicks off Thursday, July 8, at 6:30 p.m. This course, which is open to all, is eligible for continuing education credits. The Mailman Child Development Center at the Medical Campus is accepting nominations and applications for the Emerging Transformational Leadership Program. Open to all staff and faculty members, the experiential leadership program—which centers around creating system-level change for the disability community—brings together a diverse cohort of early- to mid-level career professionals who are interested in growing leadership skills. The nine-month program, which meets in person at the Mailman Center on Thursdays at 4:30 p.m., begins in the fall and culminates with a group action project designed by the fellows. There are two full-day intensives and a closing luncheon. Learn more and apply now, or nominate someone.
