The Watsco Center will be hosting the annual Premios Juventud, the awards show for Spanish celebrities, on Thursday, July 22. There will be elevated activity in the area, including parking lot and road closures beginning Monday, July 12. Get details on the temporary closures.

Ensure you’re ready for Hurricane season.

The University community is invited to attend a virtual emergency preparedness training session scheduled for Tuesday, July 20, at 1 p.m. and Monday, Aug. 9, at noon. During the one-hour interactive session, participants will learn what to expect before, during, and after a storm, including concrete steps and best practices. Employees enrolled in the Well ’Canes Incentives program may earn points for attending the session.

Ask the Experts: Digestive Diet and Health.
Tuesday, July 20, at 12:15 p.m.
Join the UHealth Fitness and Wellness Center for a discussion on digestive health. Eytan Stern, clinical dietitian, will review the gut microbiome—what it is and its importance—and how conditions such as obesity, diabetes, and heart disease are connected to gut health. The conversation will also explore the ways that special diets—such as keto, paleo, and vegan—impact digestive wellness. RSVP here.
