Well ’Canes Marketplace returns

Along with the start of the fall semester, the University community can enjoy the Well ’Canes Marketplace, which is scheduled to return to the Coral Gables Campus on Wednesday, Aug. 25. Visitors can shop the market every Wednesday through Dec. 8, except for Nov. 24.

Following safety protocols created last fall to ensure the well-being of all, the market will be open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Miller Circle. If you plan to visit, the following are some of the things you can expect.

  • There will be a smaller number of vendors to allow physical distancing.
  • All vendors will be vaccinated and will be required to wear masks.
  • There will be multiple entrance and exit points to allow pedestrian traffic flow.
  • The market at the Medical Campus will remain closed per the campus visitor policy.

“Rain or shine, our teams continue to work diligently to safely provide the University community with the Well ’Canes Marketplace, which has become a favorite,” said Jacqueline Travisano, executive vice president for business and finance and chief operating officer at the University of Miami.
