Join the Career Champions Network. 
Thursday, Sept. 23, at 3:30 p.m.
Gain insight into new trends happening in career education and the frameworks we utilize to support our students in their careers. By participating in this session, faculty and staff members will join the Career Champions Network, a group of employees who are interested in advancing career education and awareness at the University of Miami and contributing to the future success of students. University launches new CaneLink experience for students. 
Thursday, Sept. 30.
The new CaneLink interface for students will streamline and enhance the student self-service experience via computer or mobile device, providing students with easy access to their dashboard, class search, registration, wait list, and course swap—plus, there's a new schedule builder that simplifies the class planning and enrollment process. Faculty members and advisors will continue using the classic CaneLink interface (previously known as "full site" on the CaneLink home page) for activities like grading and accessing the class roster, among others. The UMIT Service Desk is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to provide CaneLink support at 305-284-6565 or help@miami.edu.

Ask the experts: Nutrition for athletes 
Sept. 30, at 1 p.m.
Learn how to eat for peak athletic performance during a webinar. Elizabeth Ferrer and Maddison Saalinger, licensed and registered dietitians at the University of Miami Health System, will break down what a balanced diet looks like; how to fuel before, during, and after workouts for optimal performance and recovery; and how to properly hydrate. Examples of meals and snacks will also be shared. Register to attend.

Submit nominations for the 2021-2022 Faculty Senate Awards. 
Deadline is Wednesday, Oct. 20.
It is that time of year again when faculty members can acknowledge their colleagues by nominating them for one of the Faculty Senate Awards. There are a total of three categories: teaching, scholarship, and service. Learn more about each award and how to nominate a colleague.
