With fewer than three months left in the year and pumpkin-flavored everything abound, make the most of (sometimes) cooler weather. Spend time outdoors this season discovering fall-themed events with family and friends—including your pup. Pick out a pumpkin, enjoy tasty food, and snap festive photos while exploring festive fall locations across South Florida.

The Berry Farm Harvest Festival

Open daily.
Complete with a five-acre corn maze and pumpkin patch, visitors at the Berry Farm Harvest Festival can take a hayride, climb a 16-piece rope course, and jump on a 60-by-30-foot bounce floor. Grab local food, fresh juices, and veggies before exploring the sunflower and corn fields. Find games like corn hole, tic-tac-toe, checkers, and shuffleboard. This dog-friendly venue offers food trucks, movie nights, and live music. Admission on a weekend is $17 for adults and $13 for children—weekday passes are $11 for adults and $9 for children.

Boca Pumpkin Patch Festival

Saturday, Oct. 30, and Sunday, Oct. 31.
Pick your perfect pumpkin from thousands in the patch at the Boca Pumpkin Patch Festival. Enjoy unlimited carnival rides for the whole family, which are included with paid admission. Several photo spots allow guests to snap memorable pictures near festive autumn backdrops. The festival offers activities for the children, including dressing up scarecrows, decorating pumpkins, and exploring a cornstalk maze. The pumpkin food court features fall-themed sweet and savory bites and traditional carnival food, while the pumpkin beer bar offers some cold beverages for the adults.

Pinecrest Gardens Howl-O-Ween

Saturday, Oct. 30, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Four-legged ghouls and their spooky human companions will haunt Pinecrest Gardens during Howl-O-Ween. Hosted by Paws4You, a local nonprofit animal rescue organization, the family-friendly event features tricks and treats, a costume contest, a canine agility course, refreshments, live entertainment, activities for children, and a pumpkin patch. Tickets are $8 per person online, or $10 at the gate. Children younger than 2 years old and Pinecrest Gardens members can attend for free.

Pinto’s Pumpkin Patch at the Farm

Open weekends through Sunday, Oct. 31. 
Experience a day in the countryside at Pinto’s Pumpkin Patch at the Farm, a family-friendly spot that includes paddle boats, rides on a tractor or pony, race tracks, and magic shows. Snap photos among the fall-themed decor and meet the animals at the children’s petting zoo. While you’re there, snack on refreshing milkshakes and smoothies and savory bites. Admission—$27.99 per person—is required for all visitors, including children as young as age 2.

Tinez Farms Fall Festival

Open Friday, Saturday, and Sunday through Nov. 7. 
Located off Krome Ave in Miami-Dade County, Tinez Farms launches its first fall festival, complete with pumpkin patch and a hay bale castle and maze. Visitors will have a gourd time enjoying bites from pop-up vendors, live music, and shopping. With a petting zoo, and play area for the kids, the family-friendly event requires admission tickets—prices vary depending on the day and time. Children ages 2 and older are required to have a ticket, which includes one cup of animal feed to participate in the petting zoo. A premium ticket ($22 per person) will grant you access to a 30-minute character show scheduled on weekends in the afternoon or evening.
