Access resources, events that promote inclusivity.
Throughout October.
The University of Miami community will join a national effort to recognize diversity during Disabilities in the Workplace Awareness Month. Spearheaded by the Human Resources’ Office of Workplace Equity and Inclusion, in collaboration with partners from across the University, a series of virtual events will showcase the many ways in which we strive to create a supportive environment where our unique abilities come together to transform lives and create an inclusive culture of belonging. Explore the many ways in which faculty and staff members can support colleagues and peers who have different abilities.
October is National Depression Awareness Month.
During October, the University community can access resources from the Faculty and Staff Assistance Program (FSAP), including webinars designed to increase awareness and bring hope to those who may be suffering from depression or know someone who may be suffering in silence. Take an online self-assessment to check on your mental well-being and to help you determine if your recent thoughts or behaviors may be associated with a common, treatable mental health issue. While it is not a diagnosis, the screening is a useful tool to get the conversation started with your primary care physician or with one of the FSAP licensed behavioral health professionals. It’s here—the new CaneLink experience for students.
Now available!
Students can now log in to the new CaneLink interface at canelink.miami.edu. This upgrade streamlines and enhances the student self-service experience via computer or mobile device, providing students easy access to their dashboard, class search, registration, wait list, and course swap—plus, there's a new schedule builder that simplifies the class planning and enrollment process. Faculty members and advisors will continue using the classic CaneLink interface (previously known as "full site" on the CaneLink home page) for activities like grading and accessing the class roster, among others. The UMIT Service Desk is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to provide CaneLink support at 305-284-6565 or at help@miami.edu.
