The Patti and Allan Herbert Wellness Center is offering all University employees who are not already a member complimentary access to the facility during select hours on Mondays, Wednesday, and Thursdays. Located on the Coral Gables Campus, employees can take advantage of this opportunity to use the facility’s amenities, including the weight and cardio machines, group exercise and yoga classes, indoor pool, basketball courts, and locker room and showers. The UHealth Fitness and Wellness Center is offering the University community a special rate on a four-week membership pass, which may be redeemed in 2022. The special pass price—20 percent off—is only available during December. The pass is redeemable exclusively at UHealth Fitness and Wellness Center on the Medical Campus. Pass holders can take advantage of facility amenities, including access to the sauna, towels, showers, and locker services, and access two floors of fitness equipment—plus a dedicated cycling studio and group exercise classroom. Join Sebastian for a holiday reading party.
Monday, Dec. 20, at 4 p.m.
Children in kindergarten through grade 5 are invited to join Sebastian’s Reading Squad for a special event. Participants will listen to Sebastian read a holiday-themed book, watch him play trivia, and find out who’s in the lead on the reading squad challenge. Register your child. Presented by the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, the initiative encourages elementary schoolchildren to proactively read. Students enrolled in the program can track their progress as they aim to read a minimum of 120 minutes within each season.
