Health System division awarded for PPE distribution

The Division of Supply Chain Services was honored for its work in providing personal protective equipment to UHealth patients, students, and employees as the nation grappled with shortages throughout the pandemic.

The Division of Supply Chain Services at UHealth continues to lead the way in supporting preeminent health care at the University of Miami and was recognized for its work when it received the ECRI Supply Chain Achievement Award for the third time. ECRI is an independent, nonprofit organization centered on safety, quality, and cost-effectiveness across health care settings worldwide.

“This award was truly the result of a focused team effort that allowed us to reach our target goals in such a challenging year,” said Keith Murphy, vice president of UHealth Supply Chain Services. “The setbacks caused by the pandemic didn’t hold us back long because everyone, including leadership and our workers, stepped up in bigger ways than usual.”
