Here’s what you need to know if you’re participating in this year’s DCC.

With more than 3,500 participants registered—1,300 of them with Team Hurricanes—and more than $5.5 million raised, we’re counting down to Dolphins Challenge Cancer XII on Saturday, Feb. 26.

Review your route.

Cyclists completing the 100-mile, 50-mile, and 15-mile routes will start and end at the Hard Rock Stadium. The 35-mile ride will begin on the Coral Gables Campus and end at the stadium. Complimentary shuttle services will be provided to and from the University of Miami’s Watsco Center for all 35-mile ride participants.

The 5K route for those running or walking at the Hard Rock Stadium will start at 11 a.m. There will be a limited number of water stations along the 5K route. While the stations will offer cups of water, you may want to bring your own water bottle to refill and keep with you to stay hydrated.

On event day, participants must enter the Hard Rock Stadium through Lot 17 or Gate 3 on NW 199th Street. Learn more.

Bike rentals are available.

If you need to rent a bicycle, email for more information.

Safety first.

Safety is the top priority during the event. Working with local municipalities, police officers, and course officials, DCC organizers are creating a safe experience for cyclists. Review a list of the safe riding tips found in the handbook. Mask wearing and social distancing is encouraged when in large crowds for the safety of all attendees.

Celebrate at the finish line.

DCC participants can purchase friends and family tickets, which grant guests access to the post-event festivities. From face painting and bounce houses to massages, there will be activities for the whole family. There is no cap on the number of tickets you may purchase. Tickets can be purchased in advance or at the event.

Plan your event day attire.

Proudly sport your Team Hurricanes T-shirt or jersey and swag! Represent Team Hurricanes and the University of Miami at the DCC by wearing University colors—orange, green, and white. Remember to pack your mask!

Get social.

Download Team Hurricanes-branded fundraising tools, social media graphics, and digital swag to help you share your DCC experience.

On event day and leading up to it, we want to see your posts on social media and share in the excitement on the DCC accounts. Include #TeamHurricanesDCC and #DolphinsChallengeCancer in your posts on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter for a chance to be featured. See you there!
