Explore ways to incorporate sustainability practices.

Learn environmental and climate change basics and find hands-on solutions to integrate sustainability practices in the workplace. The Sustainability 101 webinar will introduce participants to several topics, including waste reduction, repurposing, recycling, energy efficiency, water conservation, sustainable food systems, composting and nature conservation, among others. Offered by the Office of Sustainability, participants are also encouraged to enroll in the Green Office Certification Program, which is available to any department at the University. Deadline to submit mentor applications is Sept. 3.
The IBIS Mentorship Program provides support, safety, and guidance to the University’s lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer students. Based on their interests and information included on the application, students who identify as part of the LGBTQIA+ community are matched with faculty and staff members who identify as LGBTQIA+ or as allies. Through scheduled group events and meetings, the program fosters the growth and development of the University's LGBTQIA+ and allies community. Faculty and staff members interested in becoming mentors for the 2022–23 academic year may submit an application by Sept. 3, 2022.
