Use the University travel portal for business and personal trips. 
Wednesday, Feb. 15, at 2 p.m.
With the University’s new travel agency, World Travel Inc., faculty and staff members are encouraged to attend a virtual training session to learn how to use the travel portal. This one-hour webinar will discuss the online reservation process from start to finish. ’Canes are required to use the portal for business travel, and they are encouraged to use it for personal travel. Join a faculty career development event. 
Thursday, Feb. 16, at 5 p.m.
This workshop invites faculty members who are looking to build their interdisciplinary research agenda and navigate academic advancement. Led by Justin Stoler, associate professor, participants will explore common early-career pitfalls and success strategies in a supportive and interdisciplinary space. Save your spot.

Attend the Black History Month leadership insights panel.
Friday, Feb. 24, at 10:30 a.m.
In celebration of Black History Month, University of Miami leaders are hosting “The Future of Work,” an online panel conversation. Moderated by Richard Sobaram, assistant vice president for Student Affairs, panelists will discuss practical advice on career development, how to prepare for change and embrace the increasingly complex workplace, and the skills necessary to stay relevant and achieve success. Panelists include Henri R. Ford, dean and chief academic officer for the Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine; Tamra Lopez, director of satellite practice at Plantation, University of Miami Hospitals and Clinics, Sylvester Comprehensive Center/Bascom Palmer Eye Institute; and Germane Barnes, principal of Studio Barnes, associate professor, and the director of the Community Housing and Identity Lab, University of Miami School of Architecture.
