Master gardener Giselle Jordan will explain how to attract butterflies to your garden and how to shelter every stage of a butterfly’s development. Join a conversation exploring Cuban women of the 19th century.
Tuesday, July 18, at 2 p.m.
Historian and author Teresa Fernández Soneira presents her book "La bella cubana: Rostros de mujeres en la Cuba del siglo XIX." The book includes images from the 19th century using various photographic techniques that were taken in Cuba by the most famous photographers of the era. Through these images, accompanied by poems and literary reflections by writers of the time, the author creates a visual and literary history of the social legacy of Cuban women. The event will be presented in Spanish and will conclude with an audience question-and-answer session. Attend the event.
