Learn the significance of civility in the workplace. Hosted by the Faculty and Staff Assistance Program, this webinar examines the significance of civility and incivility in the workplace, typical causes and effects of each, and the skills needed to effectively practice civil behavior. Employees enrolled in the Well ’Canes Incentives program may be eligible to earn points by attending this session.

Share with a student: Lowe Art Museum is looking for interns.
Deadline is Tuesday, Aug 1.
The Lowe Art Museum is accepting applications from students interested in gaining hands-on experience within their curatorial, collections and exhibitions, museum education, and marketing and communications departments. Internships would begin Monday, August 28, and require a commitment of 10-15 hours a week. Apply today.

Become an IBIS mentor.
Deadline is Thursday, Aug 31.
The IBIS Mentorship Program provides LGBTQIA+ students with on-campus mentors who can act as a resource and support system. University faculty and staff members are invited to learn more about the program and apply to become an IBIS mentor. Training is provided.

Attend a film screening on campus.
Sundays at 1 p.m.
The Bill Cosford Cinema, located on the Coral Gables Campus within the School of Communication, hosts weekly film screenings. The current series features films listed on the Sight and Sound Best Movies of All Time poll. Admission is free for students and faculty and staff members with valid ’Cane ID. Stay alert of phishing scams via Microsoft Teams.

University faculty and staff members are asked to review a new cyber threat found when using Microsoft Teams. Criminals are leveraging a security vulnerability in Teams to deliver malicious files to users within an organization. University of Miami’s Information Technology Department discourages ’Canes to communicate with external users via Microsoft Teams. Learn more about the threat and how to stay safe.
