The Department of Parking and Transportation on the Coral Gables Campus has announced changes to previous lot permit designations. The announcement states changes to the Levante and Pavia Garage permits, automatic permit renewals, ramifications for unpaid parking tickets and fees, and more. Read the full announcement.

To celebrate the hard work and dedication of University of Miami faculty and staff members, the University features select athletic games for employee appreciation and recognition. Celebrations often include pregame festivities, on-field experiences, and special giveaways exclusively for UM employees. A new feature in Microsoft Outlook automatically opens email links using Microsoft Edge, when using a Windows computer. If you prefer to open email links in your default browser rather than Edge, you can adjust the setting within Outlook. Please direct any questions or concerns to the IT Service Desk at help@miami.edu.

Receive real-time IT alerts with SnapComms.

SnapComms allows ’Canes to receive and view real-time IT alerts. The software should already be installed on all University-managed devices within the Coral Gables and Marine Campuses. Faculty and staff members are asked to follow the installation tip sheet to activate SnapComms on their devices. Follow the step-by-step troubleshooting guide if SnapComms is not already installed on your device. Contact the IT Service Desk for support.

Earn an IBIS ally certificate.

The LGBTQ Student Center is reactivating the IBIS Ally Certificate Program. This includes a three-part training on sexual orientation and gender identity, an overview on terminology, current statistics pertaining to the LGBTQIA+ community, and more, as well as two in-person workshops on the Coral Gables Campus. Learn more about the program by contacting Gisela Vega, director of the LGBTQ Student Center, at gisela.vega@miami.edu. Enrolling in the IBIS Ally Certificate is not required to complete the three-part training.
