To celebrate their hard work and dedication, the University will shine a light on faculty and staff members and laud them with employee appreciation events. Sponsored by the Office of Government and Community Relations and Human Resources, employees can take a break and enjoy sweet treats and giveaways on all three campuses during Homecoming Week.
Starting Monday, Oct. 23, employees can present their ’Cane ID to receive one voucher—available first come, first served—to be redeemed during a homecoming celebration. The following list outlines more details about this year’s employee appreciation activities.
Coral Gables Campus | Monday, Oct. 23, 11 a.m.–2 p.m.
Shalala Student Center Lakeside Patio
Faculty and staff members are invited to celebrate with the University community during the Homecoming opening ceremony and ’Canes Spirit Day for giveaways and to claim a food truck voucher worth $5 to be redeemed during the Hurricane Howl Block Party on Friday, Oct. 27.
Marine Campus | Monday, Oct. 30, 11 a.m.–2 p.m.
Courtyard
Faculty and staff members can pick up a $5 voucher to be used towards lunch from an on-campus food truck or dessert from The Salty (formally The Salty Donut).
Medical Campus | Monday, Nov. 6, 11 a.m.–2 p.m.
Louis Calder Memorial Library | 1601 NW 10th Ave, Miami, FL 33136
Faculty and staff members are invited to stop by the parking lot by Calder Medical Library to claim a voucher worth $5. They will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. The vouchers can be redeemed the same day at food trucks that will be parked at the library parking lot. Don’t forget to bring your ’Cane ID.
All events are open to remote employees and require a ’Cane ID.
