Submit your short film to the Canes Black History Film Festival. 
Deadline is Sunday, Dec. 31, at 11:59 p.m.
The inaugural United Black Students and UTrailblazers Canes Black History Film Festival seeks short films based on content in the UTrailblazers Experience, current events, or Black student experiences on a multicultural campus. All submissions must be less than 12 minutes in duration. Only students are eligible to participate. Submit your film for consideration and learn more about the festival.

Attend the OLLI Open House. 
Tuesday, Jan. 9, from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m.
Osher Lifelong Learning Institute membership is open to individuals 50 years old and older who are seeking to add educational, intellectual, and social enrichment to their lives. Current University employees can use the code OLLIUMEMP to save 25 percent on an annual membership. The open house event will announce the 2024 course offerings and offer light refreshments and complimentary parking to all attendees. Register to attend.

Introducing Duo Universal Prompt.
Thursday, Jan. 11, at 11 p.m.
Starting in January, faculty and staff members and students will be required to use multifactor authentication (MFA) every time they log into a University of Miami sign-on-enabled application or service. The Duo MFA login options will look different because the options have changed. Learn more.

The 73rd annual Beaux Arts Festival of Art will be held at the Coral Gables Campus in January. Everyone is encouraged to attend the free festival and stop by The U Creates booth to learn more about the year-round events and presentations of art and culture at the University of Miami.
