Review the updated travel policy.

Faculty and staff members are no longer required to use the travel portal to book business-related travel. The University has updated its travel policy to include best practices for international travel, reimbursement, business class seating options, and more. Review the newsletter for more information. These updates apply to all faculty and staff members regardless of campus.

Attend the Black History Month Leadership Insights panel.

In celebration of Black History Month, University of Miami leaders are hosting “Authenticity, Courage, and Belonging,” an online panel conversation moderated by Tamra Lopez, director of satellite operations at Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center. Attendees will hear practical advice on creating and sustaining a culture of belonging, and how authenticity and courage shape the experience of belonging for ourselves and others. Register now.

Panelists include Brenda Owusu, assistant professor of clinical, director of adult-gerontology primary care nurse practitioner program, School of Nursing and Health Studies; Brian Baptiste, senior deputy director of athletics; and Christopher Clarke, assistant dean for belonging and inclusion, School of Law.
