Explore spring art exhibitions at University galleries.

The Bachelor of Fine Arts Exhibition, featuring work from student artists, will be on display and open to the public from May 1 through May 10, at the University of Miami Rainbow Gallery, on the Coral Gables Campus. The University community is invited to attend the end-of-year reception on Thursday, May 9 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the gallery. Additionally, beginning May 3, and running through May 31,  the University’s Wynwood Gallery will feature “Saudade,” an exhibition by Master of Fine Arts candidate Mariana Espindola.

End-of-year reception for faculty members
Thursday, May 2, 3 p.m. to 4 p.m.
University of Miami faculty members are invited to join Willy Prado, interim executive vice president for academic affairs and provost, to enjoy pastelitos and cafe con leche during an end-of-year reception to celebrate the accomplishments of the members of our faculty. Learn more.

The 26th annual UM Canes Film Festival, held at the Bill Cosford Cinema on the Coral Gables Campus, showcases work produced by students in the Department of Cinematic Arts. The festival begins on Friday, May 3, at 6:30 p.m. and features 100 films over three days. See the full weekend schedule.

Attend a hurricane preparedness training session.
Monday, May 6, noon
This one-hour interactive training is strongly recommended for everyone and with  all levels of experience with hurricane preparedness. The class offers a brief discussion of hurricane facts and figures and interprets forecasting data. It also provides important information about how to stay safe before, during, and after a storm.
