‘Slow Look with the Lowe’
May 14, noon to 12:30 p.m.
Register for a free virtual program exploring selected artworks from the Lowe Art Museum. Tola Porter, educator for academic and public programs at the Lowe, will lead participants through “Slow Look with the Lowe: Celebrating International Museum Day,” for a 30-minute mindful and interactive session. Following the 2024 Faculty Senate election meeting, the incumbent Senate officers have been reelected to another term. Members include: JoNel Newman, senate chair, School of Law; Scotney Evans, first vice chair, School of Education and Human Development; and Dr. Albert Varon, second vice chair, Miller School of Medicine. In recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month, faculty and staff members are invited to join upcoming sessions from the Faculty and Staff Assistance Program (FSAP) to support well-being and engage in creative skill-building activities. Women’s Commission networking on the Medical Campus.
Thursday, May 23, 5 to 7 p.m.
Ring in the summer with the Women’s Commission for a mixer and networking event at the Don Soffer Clinical Research Center on the Medical Campus. Find information on parking, and RSVP before 5 p.m., Monday, May 20.
