JCPenney Suit Up flyerJCPenney will be devoting its entire store to University of Miami students and staff Sunday night — Sept. 16 — for the U’s first College Suit Up event. From 6 to 9 p.m. students, faculty and staff who bring their ’Cane Card will receive a 40 percent discount on career apparel, accessories and shoes. All students are encouraged to attend and a bus will provide transportation from Toppel Career Center to the JCPenney at Dadeland Mall, said Miguelangel Ramirez, assistant director of career events at the Toppel Career Center.

The first shuttle will leave at 5:30 p.m. from Toppel’s parking lot, and then it will continue making trips to JCPenney and back to campus throughout the event. Students are asked to RSVP on Handshake, the University’s career networking platform, so that staff can accommodate the amount of interested students.

Organized by Toppel and JCPenney, the event will also offer prizes throughout the evening and Sephora will be providing mini-makeovers.
