Celebrating Earth Day

The University of Miami celebrates Earth Day with a host of activities at or near the Lakeside Patio.
Earth Day celebrations will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, April 22, at the Lakeside Patio. The event will feature sustainable food vendors, a green fair, dance and theater performances, a live concert featuring Frost School of Music students, and an eco-art fair.
The traditional Hug the Lake event will take place at 12:05 p.m., and will be followed by the presentation of the Roberta “Bosey” Fulbright Foote Award, which recognizes a member of the UM community who has made a meaningful and lasting contribution to the beauty, humanity, and future of the campus.
