Editor’s Note: As the University of Miami reopens and welcomes students, faculty, and staff back to campus for the Fall 2020 semester, our “Campus Ready” updates will help the University community navigate how to eat, shop, stay fit, and more, while putting our health and well-being first.

The Campus Store, located in the Whitten University Center, opened for back-to-school hours on Aug. 8. With new directional and distancing signage in place, services including the USPS kiosk and apparel and merchandise sales are available in store or online. Technology and textbook purchases will be streamlined using online ordering or by booking appointments for both priority entry during store hours and after-hours consultations.

What’s New

  • Students are encouraged to order course materials, including textbooks, online at ShopUofMiami.com.
    • Once the order is processed, students will receive an email confirmation when it is available for pick up on the second floor of the University Center, in the former Academic Resources Center suite.
  • Students can also book a “fast pass” or “after-hours appointments” for various Campus Store services via the UMiami App, or online at miami.edu/CampusStoreBookit.
    • Book a “fast pass” slot for priority entry during store hours, Monday–Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. to purchase either technology, course materials, or ’Cane gear.
    • Book “after-hours” access for entry, Monday-Friday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., to pay for course materials, technology, or international USPS shipments.
  • Density monitors will be available at the Campus Store entrance, displaying customer counts via colored icon graphics. (Green = Lots of space, come in; Yellow = Filling up, but there's still space; Red = At capacity! Please come back later.) Density can also be tracked in real time via the “Location Density” tab in the UMiami App.
  • Until further notice, both the dressing rooms and access to textbooks on the second floor are closed.
  • Textbook returns will be processed starting Aug. 24 through Sept. 1.

“With a redesigned footprint and expanded shopping options in place, our team is ready to safely assist as students return to campus to get what they need to be successful in the classroom.”
