DCC is here. Are you ready?

Here’s what you need to know if you’re planning to go to the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center's Dolphins Cancer Challenge 10 on Saturday, Feb. 29.
DCC is here. Are you ready?

DCC is here, but it’s not too late to register to walk, run, ride, or show your support at the Dolphins Cancer Challenge, which benefits Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center. Check out these details, including the $25 Finish Line Festival offer, as you prepare for race day.

Pick up your credentials
As a Team Hurricanes member, you will receive two packets—a Team Hurricanes packet and a DCC packet. Your DCC packet allows you to participate in the event and consists of your walk/run/ride number to display on your shirt or jersey, and some DCC items. You must pick this packet up in person, and you must have your DCC credentials in order to participate.

Contact ridedcc@dolphins.com for more information.

Find your starting line
All participants should have received an email from DCC Team Hurricanes (dcc@miami.edu) last week with details on start time, location, and other important information, including a timeline. Please be sure to read it thoroughly and familiarize yourself with the details before race day. If you have additional questions about the DCC, please visit DolphinsCancerChallenge.com.

Attend the kick off celebration
On Friday, Feb. 28, join Team Hurricanes at the Hard Rock Stadium for the Friday Night Kickoff, presented by Aetna. In addition to being able to pick up your packet starting at 4 p.m., participants and their families will gather over dinner to prepare for the big day—each participant gets to invite two guests to dine with the team. Enjoy the evening and get excited for DCC 10 the following day!

Plan your race day attire
Saturday’s the day to sport your Team Hurricanes T-shirt or jersey and swag! Let’s represent Team Hurricanes and the University of Miami at the DCC. Wear University colors—orange, green, and white—to show your ’Canes spirit.

Celebrate and support at the Finish Line Festival
DCC 10 will conclude with the Finish Line Festival, presented by Moss Construction. The festival grounds will have food and beverages from the rooftop bar and beer garden as well as activities for the whole family—enjoy a Kids Zone presented by FMSBonds; live music; a meet-and-greet with Dolphins cheerleaders, players, and alumni; and more.

Each race participant will receive one guest pass to attend the festival. Additional guests can purchase Friends and Family tickets at $25 each; children younger than 13 may attend for free. Tickets will be available onsite for purchase.
