Employee benefits reminders during COVID-19

While most employee benefits have remained unchanged during the COVID-19 pandemic, there are various shifts and new offerings that employees should keep in mind.

Get legal assistance—free through July 31
The University's legal benefit plan provider, MetLife, is offering free advice and consultations to all employees through July 31, 2020. Services range from reviews of health care proxies and estate plans to access to a self-help library with resources on creating wills, power of attorney documents, and more. To speak to a legal expert, contact MetLife at 1-800-821-6400, Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. EST. You will need to identify your employer, provide the last four digits of your Social Security number or membership number, and indicate that you are interested in the document review and consultations services being offered as part of the Disaster Relief Plan.

UM/Aetna plan—copays and deductibles waived through June 30 for telemedicine visits
UM/Aetna member copays and deductibles will be waived for telemedicine visits for any reason through June 30, 2020. Plan members also may visit providers in person. UHealth has implemented many new guidelines to keep patients, employees, and visitors safe. Learn more about what to expect during your next UHealth in-person visit.

Set up prescription home deliveries via OptumRx
Employees enrolled in the UM/Aetna medical plan can elect to use OptumRx Home Delivery to have 90-day prescriptions delivered to their door. When using Walgreens or OptumRx home delivery for your 90-day prescriptions, copays may also be discounted. To switch your delivery method, contact OptumRx at 1-855-438-4509 or visit www.optumrx.com.
