Make changes to your benefits plan—Open enrollment is live!
Now through Friday, Oct. 29.
While there are no changes to premiums and deductibles under the UM Aetna benefits plan this year, take the time to review and update your benefits plan via Workday. Still have questions about your benefit elections? Review the open enrollment guidebooks, tip sheets, and FAQs to help decide which plan is best for you. Visit the Open Enrollment site. Need help? Celebrate the 15th anniversary of UHealth Fitness and Wellness Center.
Multiple dates throughout October.
Attend a number of events hosted by the
UHealth Fitness and Wellness Center in honor of this important milestone. Participants will have an opportunity to reconnect with current members and meet new members while encouraging healthy living habits for everyone through educational webinars, fitness and movement workshops, and meditation sessions. The schedule includes special group exercise classes, weekly raffles and giveaways, and new member discounts. Employees enrolled in UM’s Well ’Canes Incentives program can earn points by attending certain events. View the full calendar of events, many of which are virtual and/or open to nonmembers.

Get your flu shot—or submit an exemption waiver. 
Compliance deadline is Wednesday, Nov. 17.
As part of the University of Miami’s COVID-19 response, students and faculty and staff members on all campuses are required to receive the seasonal flu vaccine or submit an exemption waiver. The shots are currently available for faculty and staff members by appointment at multiple locations on and off campus. Learn more about availability before the upcoming compliance deadline.

University students and faculty and staff members can discover the natural beauty of Miami in a safe and fun way with the equipment-rental program at Outdoor Adventures on the Coral Gables Campus. Rent camping and watersport gear, such as sleeping bags, tents, stand-up paddleboards, and wetsuits. An Outdoor Adventures membership includes access to the climbing/bouldering wall, discounted fees on rental gear, and instructional clinic offerings, but membership is not required to rent gear.
