The University community is invited to participate in the Compliance Services' annual Compliance and Ethics Week interactive session, "Preventing Sexual Harassment and Discrimination." Register to attend the online session facilitated by Maria Sevilla, deputy Title IX coordinator, about the importance of understanding what harassment and sexual misconduct are and how to cultivate a culture of compliance.
Explore interactive sessions hosted by UHealth Compliance, which will include the University’s corporate integrity agreement; handling conflicts of interest; the dangers around cloned documentation; the University gifts policy; mobile device security and HIPAA compliance; accessing investigational drugs and medical devices; managing data for artificial intelligence and machine learning; and business associate agreements.
The Toppel Summit: A Culture of Career at the U

Hosted by the Toppel Career Center, faculty and staff members can learn about new university-wide initiatives aimed at supporting students' career success. Featuring a welcome address by Provost Jeffrey Duerk, the Toppel Summit will focus on the importance of internships with insights from internship data and a panel of students who will share how internships and help from faculty and staff members have shaped their career goals and outcomes. Participate in the Hurricanes holiday gift drive.

Organized by the Butler Center for Service and Leadership, the drive supports deserving children and senior citizens in the Miami community during the holidays by providing them with generous donations of gifts and toys. New and unused items can be dropped off at the Butler Center for Service and Leadership in the Shalala Student Center, Suite 204, and at the Whitten University Center Lower Lounge. Anyone interested in sponsoring a senior within the community for this holiday season may ask for a tag with specific items requested. If you have questions or would like to host a donation location within your office or department, contact the Butler Center at leadandserve@miami.edu.
Get your flu shot—or submit an exemption waiver.
Compliance deadline is Wednesday, Nov. 17.
As part of the University of Miami’s COVID-19 response, students and faculty and staff members on all campuses are required to receive the seasonal flu vaccine or submit an exemption waiver.
