Essentials of Leadership is back and in person.
Deadline to submit nominations is Wednesday, March 2.
The Essentials of Leadership (EOL) program provides University leaders with the opportunities, resources, tools, and support to ensure a successful developmental journey. Since its inception, more than 800 leaders have successfully graduated from the program, which is designed to advance a participant's development through interactive modules, leadership discussions, individual assessments, experiential learning activities, networking, and coaching. Nominate a faculty member for the Provost’s Teaching Awards. 
Deadline is Friday, March 11.
The provost’s office is accepting nominations for four distinct awards that honor exceptional forms of teaching within an academic year. One award is expected to be provided for each category. All full-time faculty members are eligible for these awards, which will include a celebratory recognition and a $1,000 fund for purchases supporting each awardee’s work. Nominations may be submitted by faculty or staff members, undergraduate or graduate students, and postdoctoral scholars. Nominations involve a simple two-step process. First nominators will complete an online form, which notifies the nominee. Those who accept their nominations will be asked to provide additional information to the selection committee. Access your 1095-C Employer-Provided Health Insurance Offer and Coverage Form. 
Now available in Workday.
The University is required to send a 1095-C form as part of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act to all employees who are eligible for University medical benefits. Equifax will mail the 1095-C to the home address on file by Wednesday, March 2. A paperless option also is available now in Workday. Please note, this form is not required to complete your taxes.

Learn to secure your inbox from unwanted attacks.

While the University has implemented a series of advanced email protections to keep you safe from spam and phishing in your inbox, it is still important to learn how to protect yourself from these types of attacks. We invite you to learn more about email security and email quarantine during an upcoming UMIT Tech Talk. Experts will be discussing: Phishing vs. Spam; organizational-level vs. Microsoft-level blocked emails; using email quarantine, spam digest, and safe senders; accessing and taking action within your email quarantine; and safely sharing files via Box and OneDrive. Google recently released an updated Chrome browser in response to a high severity vulnerability. If you use Chrome on Windows, Mac, or Linux, update your Chrome browser to version 98.0.4758.102 as soon as possible. Learn how to update your browser. To adhere to NCAA legislation, the University of Miami asks that boosters, community members, and institutional employees refrain from providing extra benefits or services to student-athletes or prospective student-athletes. An extra benefit is any free special arrangement or gift provided by an institutional employee, or a representative of the institution’s athletics interests (booster), that is provided to a student-athlete or a prospective student-athlete or their friends and family.
