Faculty and staff members and students taking part in scholarly endeavors across all campuses and satellite locations have access to support at every stage of the research cycle. Learn more about new resources such as Research Compass—an online navigation tool supported by the Office of the Vice Provost for Research and Scholarship and the Miami Clinical and Translational Science Institute—and explore new ways to leverage University platforms to facilitate your work.

The Office of the Vice Provost for Research and Scholarship is a centralized hub where professionals work to foster the highest quality of research and creative activities. The team provides a wide-range of support, from education and training opportunities to research administrative oversight. Find support through Research Navigator.

The concierge-style assistance offered through Research Navigator connects the University community to individualized resources to offer aid at any stage of the research process. Keep in touch via the Research Listservs. 

There are various research-related listservs to help connect with the research community. Some of the topics include Research Roundup, a summary of research events; Funding Rundown, a list of available funding opportunities; and Research Week in Review, an overview of featured announcements, policy updates, training, and resources. Lists are available by interests, including biological sciences, computer and information science, humanities, medical research, and others. Review all available lists and subscribe

Navigate your work with the Research Compass.

The Research Compass is a dynamic web-based tool designed to guide faculty members, researchers, and their teams to the resources needed to make research and scholarship happen. The tool is organized around the research life cycle providing guidance for all aspects of a project—from getting started to development and submission and through implementation, dissemination, and publication. Explore additional tools and support. 

Researchers and scholars with a question or seeking general guidance can use the Navigator Chatbot to find quick solutions at any time. Use the “Navi” bot on the lower-right-hand corner to get started. Additional IT resources for researchers are available in the IT Resources hub, which  offers one-stop shopping for researchers and scholars needing IT services.

Find University data from the Office of Institutional Research and Strategic Analytics. 

When research requires University data, the Office of Institutional Research and Strategic Analytics (IRSA) advocates for institutional data literacy and works collaboratively with faculty and staff members to provide objective, consistent, and transparent data, including student data, University statistics, and internal and external reporting. Providing easy-to-access features—such as the University fact book and fact finder, dynamic dashboards, and individualized support—the IRSA team takes a holistic approach to data.
