Care for your heart—book a cardiac calcium screening appointment.
Discounted visits at UHealth available during February.
When calcium builds in your arteries, it can be a sign of heart-related health problems that increase risk of heart attack or stroke. A calcium scan is a CT scan of your heart that detects and measures the amount of calcium in the walls of your arteries. In honor of American Heart Month, UHealth has discounted the price of cardiac calcium screening to $25. A prescription is required and the appointment must be scheduled during February. Screenings are a quick, painless, and precise way to determine your risk of coronary heart disease. Patients with a calcium screening prescription from their doctor can call 305-243-2788 to schedule a screening appointment. If you don’t already have a prescription but want to get checked, take a free heart risk assessment. If your free assessment shows you meet the criteria for being at risk for a heart attack, you’ll receive a prescription for the $25 calcium screening. Learn more.
