The University of Miami community mourns the death of Melissa Ribeiro after a short illness. Melissa was an outstanding freshman at the School of Business and a native of New Jersey. She was sensitive, caring, talented, and had a passion for those treated unjustly. She had recently been inducted into the Alpha Lambda Delta Freshman Honor Society. Melissa was a new member of the Delta Phi Epsilon sorority and a resident of Hecht Residential College.
