The University of Miami has issued a statement regarding the shooting that occurred at Florida State University.
“The University of Miami community wants to show its solidarity and extend our support to the FSU community on this tragic day. Our thoughts are with the family and friends of those impacted by this incident at our sister ACC university, with whom we share many academic partnerships," said Dr. Pat Whitely, vice president for Student Affairs.
"UM has developed and practiced specific action guidelines to respond to violent incidents such as the tragedy today. The UM community is urged to review the emergency preparedness website to reacquaint ourselves with the guidelines, at http://www.miami.edu/prepare ," she said.
