The University of Miami academic calendar for the Spring 2021 semester has been approved, and classes will be beginning a week later than originally scheduled. The semester will end on May 12, the last day of final exams.
The calendar, with classes set to begin Jan. 25, was approved this week by President Julio Frenk and the Faculty Senate.
The semester will feature two Wellness Wednesdays to give students a break from instruction. Those classes will be made up during the course of the semester by an additional asynchronous session or with an additional assignment. There is no spring break scheduled.
Spring commencement exercises are currently scheduled for May 13 and May 14.
The calendar is subject to change, if needed.
