The stage is set for Family Weekend, Homecoming, and Alumni Weekend 2022 at the University of Miami.
From Thursday, Oct. 6, to Sunday, Oct. 9, the Department of Orientation and Commuter Student Involvement is set to host its annual Family Weekend. Guests will have the opportunity to attend engaging programs, activities, and athletic events—including a Hurricanes football game against the North Carolina Tar Heels on Saturday, Oct. 8. The complete Family Weekend schedule will be available later this year. Visit miami.edu/family-weekend for more details on how and when to register.
With Homecoming week beginning Monday, Oct. 31, the homecoming executive committee members are preparing for an exciting lineup of events leading up to the annual boat burning and fireworks show on Friday, Nov. 4. And of course, the feature attraction will be when the Hurricanes take on rival Florida State in football on Saturday, Nov. 5, at Hard Rock Stadium.
Esther Alexandre, a junior studying computer engineering who serves as vice chair of the homecoming executive committee, is excited to work alongside her board to plan this year’s events.
“What we’re looking forward to for Homecoming this year is finding exciting ways to create new traditions while keeping and honoring our standing traditions,” she said. For more information on the homecoming committee, visit their Engage page.
Alumni Weekend, which coincides with Homecoming and runs from Nov. 4 to Nov. 5, will include several signature events. Event and registration information will be posted on the Alumni Weekend webpage soon.
