The football rivalry between the University of Miami and Florida State University dates back to 1951 when the Hurricanes defeated the Seminoles 35-13 in their inaugural meeting. Since then, the two universities have had one of the most intense rivalries in college football, playing 66 games—of which the ’Canes have won 35.
Let’s #beatfsu: Rivalry Week challenge in support of scholarships
As we get excited for the competition on the field, help us beat Florida State University off the field and show them that when ’Canes come together, we are unstoppable. Join us during the week starting Monday, Oct. 31 and ending at 11:59 p.m. (ET) on Saturday, Nov. 5 for our Rivalry Week Challenge.
Our goal is simple: to have more alumni donors participate than FSU—any donation of $5 or more from undergraduate alumni will count toward the challenge. And all gifts, including those from graduate alumni or ’Canes fans, support scholarships that open doors to opportunity for current and future ’Canes.
Not in Miami on November 5? You can still catch the game with fellow ’Canes at these ’Canes Communities watch parties.
