The University of Miami’s Boston alumni ’Canes Community came together last Thursday for a night of conversation and networking. Nearly 100 alumni, and their families and friends, gathered to listen as Patricia A. Whitely, senior vice president for student affairs and alumni engagement, moderated a conversation featuring alumni Alex Cora, Boston Red Sox Baseball manager, and J.D. Arteaga, Miami Hurricanes baseball head coach.

The duo discussed their careers in Major League Baseball, and how their time at the University prepared them for success. Following the conversation, attendees had the chance to meet the “big leaguers” while mingling with their fellow local ’Canes.
