University theater arts students take the stage at the Jerry Herman Ring Theatre from Sept. 26-29 for a production of “The Laramie Project,” a documentary-style play that aims to promote dialogue about equality, tolerance, and acceptance. The Lowe Art Museum hosts a monthly virtual “Slow Looking” program and in-person art workshops for families. Learn the fundamentals of mindfulness. 
Wednesdays at 4 p.m. through Dec. 4
Hosted by the University of Miami Libraries, these 45-minute sessions offer opportunities to learn and practice the fundamentals of mindfulness in community with others. Beginners are welcome. Sessions include guided meditations and periods of questions and responses facilitated by Kelly Miller, a certified mindfulness teacher and associate dean at University Libraries; professor Scott Rogers, director of the University of Miami School of Law’s Mindfulness in Law Program; or a guest teacher.
