Cybersecurity Awareness Month activities continue
Now through Oct. 31
The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency and the National Cybersecurity Alliance teamed up again this year to promote cybersecurity awareness with the theme “Secure Our World.” The University’s information security team will host a series of activities throughout October to highlight proactive cybersecurity measures. Slow Looking with the Lowe: Frida and Diego: Photography and Drawing
Tuesday, Oct. 8, at noon
During this virtual program, Tola Porter, Lowe Art Museum interim assistant director for learning, engagement, and technology, will lead participants through a 30-minute mindful and interactive session exploring selected artworks from the Lowe’s collection. Register for the free event, which is open to the public. Explore more opportunities to practice mindfulness.

2024 Faculty Exhibition
On view: Oct. 9 - Nov. 7
Faculty artists in the Department of Art and Art History in the College of Arts and Sciences will present their work at the University of Miami Gallery in the historic Wynwood Art District. Attend the opening reception on Saturday, Oct. 19, from 6 to 9 p.m. Art galleries exhibit works by students and faculty members as well as renowned artists throughout the year.

Fall Commencement: RSVP required to participate
Deadlines are Oct. 11 and Oct. 17 for students and faculty, respectively.
University students who plan to complete their degree requirements in the fall semester are eligible to apply for graduation on CaneLink by Friday, Oct. 11. New this fall, University faculty who wish to participate in the Fall 2024 commencement exercises must RSVP. Faculty RSVP and regalia rentals (if needed) are due by Thursday, Oct. 17. RSVP confirmations will help the team plan seating accordingly. Please note that all guests require an entry ticket to attend. Learn more about commencement

Submit nominations for the 2024–2025 Faculty Senate Awards. 
Deadline is Wednesday, Oct. 16, at 5 p.m. 
University faculty members can nominate their colleagues in one of three prestigious awards, given for teaching, scholarship, and service.
