Toppel Career Center Spring 2025 Job and Internship Expo
Wednesday, Feb. 5, at 1 p.m.
Attend the University’s signature recruiting event and explore internship and full-time job opportunities both locally and nationally. Students from all majors and class levels are encouraged to attend. Expo attracts companies from various industries including, but not limited to, health care, communication, government, business, nonprofit, science, and technology. Participants can network with 40 employers and share copies of their resume. Sign up using a valid University email address. Business professional attire is recommended.

Black History 101 Mobile Museum
Thursday, Feb. 6, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

As part of a series of University celebrations honoring Black History Month, the Office of Academic Enhancement will host Khalid el-Hakim, educator, entrepreneur, and founder/curator of the Black History 101 Mobile Museum. The Black History 101 Mobile Museum is an award-winning collection of more than 10,000 artifacts of Black history, spanning from the transatlantic slave trade era to the hip-hop period. Attend the presentation at noon, followed by a reception at 1 p.m. Browse the exhibition, which will be on display at the Lakeside Auditorium on the Coral Gables Campus from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.  Read about a previous visit to campus.

Ed Tech Express workshops for University faculty
Spring series launches Feb. 6, at 4 p.m.
The Ed Tech Express Workshop Series offers quick, comprehensive overviews of educational technology tools in just 30 minutes. Hosted by the Learning, Innovation, and Faculty Engagement team, with support from the Learning Platforms team, these sessions are perfect for busy faculty looking to explore tools and decide if they’re the right fit for their teaching and students. Register to attend upcoming sessions, which will cover Qwickly, Microsoft Teams, and Adobe Express.

Nominate a Cane: Louise P. Mills and May Brunson awards
Deadline is Monday, Feb. 10, at 6 p.m.

Offered by the University’s Women's Commission, these awards celebrate individuals who have made remarkable contributions to advancing women and women's interests at the University of Miami. Nominate a deserving student or colleague today and celebrate those who make a difference. Winners will be recognized at the Women's Commission Annual Breakfast on Wednesday, March 19, at 8:30 a.m. Stay tuned for more details about the event. Registration will be required as space is limited.
