President Joe Echevarria and Provost Search Committee chair Dr. Henri Ford announced that the Provost Search Committee will host three listening sessions to gather direct input from the University community on candidate qualifications and expectations for the next provost of the University of Miami.
The sessions will take place via Zoom:
- UHealth and Medical Campus at the time of the previously scheduled Miller School of Medicine Faculty Council Meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 28, 5–6:30 p.m.

Although the listening sessions are targeted to the community at each University campus as noted above, they will be hosted virtually to welcome participants—faculty members, staff members, and students—from other campuses as necessary to accommodate schedules.
At its first meeting on Jan. 16, the Provost Search Committee formed a subcommittee to begin the development of the position specifications, a document that will describe the role to prospective candidates and is expected to be completed within the next several weeks.
