Showcasing a diverse range of recent student works, the exhibition embraces both traditional and conceptual methods across various media and practices, offering a captivating glimpse into the dynamic world of contemporary art. Smart Cities MIAMI 2025
Thursday, April 3, and Friday, April 4
The School of Architecture, in collaboration with the Frost Institute for Data Science and Computing, will host the ninth annual Smart Cities Conference on the Coral Gables Campus. This year’s conference theme “Equitable Urban Futures” explores data and design innovations for shaping more equitable, human-centric, and agile smart cities. Registration to attend is $50 per person. University faculty and staff members and students can send an email to idsc@miami.edu to obtain a complimentary entry.

Explore a calendar of events each month offered by the Bill Cosford Cinema at the School of Communication. Canes can snag tickets to a variety of films, including free screenings in partnership with the University’s Cinematic Arts Commission. On Sundays, the cinema hosts its series “Sundays at the U With Movies,” with tickets available at $6. Weekly sessions through May 7, 2025
During the spring semester, these 45-minute online and 60-minute in-person sessions offer opportunities to learn and practice the fundamentals of mindfulness in community with others. All levels of experience are welcome. Offered by University Libraries, sessions include guided meditations, mindful movement, and periods of questions and responses facilitated by experts in mindfulness, meditation, and yoga. This program is free and open to the public; registration is required to attend.
