Giving Day launches early giving opportunities.

In honor of the University of Miami’s 100th anniversary, the University is gearing up for the most exciting Giving Day, which takes place on April 3. Canes supporters can donate as early as Wednesday, March 5—in honor of 305 Day. Step up, make an impact, and lead the charge in this monumental celebration. Join the movement as a Giving Day Advocate and spread your Canes spirit. Stay tuned for updates on exclusive merch, exciting events, and fun challenges.

’Cane Angel Network: Spotlight on Innovation at University of Miami
Wednesday, March 5, 8-11:30 a.m.
U Innovation welcomes University of Miami alumni, faculty, students, and the South Florida investment community to showcase key innovation initiatives at the University. Participants will meet the leaders driving academic innovation, mission-driven research, and commercialization programs. The event will also showcase the latest innovations from Cane startups in technology, health care, and climate resilience. Patricia A. Whitely Women's Leadership Symposium
Thursday, March 6, 4-8 p.m.

Hosted by the Butler Center for Service and Leadership, the Whitely Women's Leadership Symposium brings the University community together to empower and celebrate women to create positive change through leadership, community, and wellness. Canes are invited to attend this event, which is open to all individuals, at the Donna E. Shalala Student Center, Grand Ballroom.

Myrna and Sheldon Palley Glass Artist Lecture featuring Toots Zynsky: Past/Present
Thursday, March 6, 7-9 p.m.
Mary Ann “Toots” Zynsky is a pioneering artist who helped make contemporary glass a worldwide phenomenon through her signature method, filet de verre. Part of the Myrna and Sheldon Palley Glass Artist Lecture Series, Zynsky’s lecture will discuss the evolution of her practice, focusing on her ongoing “Endangered Species Series,” which explores the brilliance and dynamics of endangered birds' signature plumage, highlighting the peril birds face from unchecked climate impacts. IDSC Day
Friday, March 7, 11 a.m.-6 p.m.

Presented by the Frost Institute for Data Science and Computing (IDSC), the 2nd Annual IDSC Day will highlight the impact IDSC has made on the University, the South Florida community, and beyond. The event—which includes lunch and a networking reception—convenes faculty and staff members, students, and industry partners to enable discovery through leading-edge scientific and computational projects that extract hidden knowledge and generate fresh insights from large and complex datasets. Participants can connect with University faculty members and IDSC Fellows, and have an opportunity to discuss their projects, studies, and research interests.
