Workshop explores the impact of excessive heat and the indoor environment

Most people spend most of their time indoors—living and working—yet we still have much to understand about how extreme heat impacts indoor environments, particularly for workers. Hosted by the University of Miami School of Nursing and Health Studies, join the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine for an in-depth discussion on the effects of excessive heat, its interaction with indoor environmental chemistry, and the resulting implications for human health. Along with leading voices in the field, University leaders will participate in this critical conversation, including Guillermo “Willy” Prado, interim executive vice president for academic affairs and provost; Hudson Santos, dean of the School of Nursing and Health Studies; Pratim Biswas, dean of the College of Engineering; and Natasha Solle, research associate professor in the Department of Medicine at the Miller School of Medicine.
